About

Tucked away in El Dorado Hills, Dry Diggings Distillery has been crafting & serving vodka, gin, brandy and whiskey in Sierra Foothills since 2012. Now, we now offer Hills:

Espresso Counter · Cocktail Bar · Kitchen

Hills is where we offer coffee, cocktails, dining and gifts on-site at the distillery.

Built for conversation and connection. No TVs. No loud music. Just handcrafted libations, hearty food, and genuine hospitality for adults 21 and over to enjoy.

Read Our Story

We’re proud to work with the people who make California taste like California.
We craft a variety of vodka, gin, brandy, and whiskey right here on site all of which are used as the base of our cocktail program. Along the way, we work closely with local wineries and breweries whose fruit, grain, and fermentations help shape our spirits. And when it comes to what we pour, we keep it close to home: every wine, beer, and spirit has a reason for being on our bar.

Our community isn’t just the people who walk in the door — it’s the makers, growers, and artisans whose work we stand alongside.

  • Tasting Room & Distillery

Discover where our spirits come to life.

Guided tastings and distillery tours for the curious, the collectors, and the folks who want to learn what makes California craft spirits truly special.

  • Cocktails and Dining

Dinner, date nights, and long-overdue catch-ups belong here. Scratch cooking, seasonal ingredients, and cocktails built around our own spirits set the tone. The kind of place where your server remembers you, where the lighting is soft, and where every plate and pour feels personal.

  • Espresso Counter & Gift Shop

Grab a strong Pachamama espresso, then poke around our mercantile of spirits and local goods. Ideal for gifts, hosting, or finding a little something for yourself.

Off the Beaten Path

Find Your Way Here

You don’t find Dry Diggings Distillery and Hills by accident — you find it because you’re looking for something real.
We’re tucked just beyond the main roads, where the company’s better and time moves slower.

Directions (from Interstate 50)

  1. From I-50 either direction, take the Latrobe Road exit (not directly Robert J. Mathews).

  2. Head down Latrobe Road until you pass White Rock Road.

  3. Continue until you reach Business Park #3 / Golden Foothill Pkwy — you’ll see Tractor Supply Company as a landmark on the corner.

  4. Turn right into Golden Foothill Pkwy at that Business Park entrance.

  5. Immediately after turning in, take the first turn left onto Robert J. Mathews Pkwy.

  6. Drive down Robert J. Mathews Pkwy. On your right you will see a field — count one driveway past that field.

  7. Pull into that driveway. Your building is the second one back from the road, and you’ll recognize it by the barrels lined up along the front, even though there is no external signage.

What You’ll See on Arrival

  • As you drive in, the building will have a modern industrial facade, set against the foothills of El Dorado Hills.

  • The surrounding area is a mix of light-industrial and commercial, so don’t be thrown off by the warehouse-look — you’re in the right place.
