The high cost of living…

This is an unfortunate situation for us, but the pandemic and associated complications are driving up costs. We have never increased prices on our bottles since we opened to the public in 2015. All through the shut down of our tasting room, making hand sanitizer and donating so much of it we fought raising prices. But, that time has done now that our glass bottle prices, labels, shipping, production and labor costs are forcing us to look at everything. This decision was not reached easily, and hope our supportive customers understand the situation.

We have been very busy working on SB 620 at our state’s capitol. The bill is out of the Senate and on its way to the Assembly. The main subject is direct to consumer shipping to our retail customers. We have had the temporary emergency right under the Governor’s orders. If this bill passes, we will be looking to start a “club” and be able to ship from El Dorado Hills.

We look forward to expanding our foot print soon as our plans for the restaurant continue. The architect and engineering plans have taken significantly longer than expected (covid related) and we will submit to the county building department soon. All the moving parts that go into building a new restaurant will be brought together as we start construction. Be prepared for a wild 2022, and thank you for all the support!
